Any time I try to use the "bump" feature, Firefox locks up and crashes. Downloaded the latest versions of FireFox and FireVortex. Still no worky....

I'll need some additional information such as platform, versions of FF and FV, which thread you are trying to bump.
Also if you could log any error messages

I've been unable to replicate any crashing on my end. The code/process is fairly basic BUT it does load in the entire thread into the background -> this maybe causing your issue. (lack of memory, etc)
Try some adjustments here:
