I installed the latest 1.7. I went to register. My Vortex e-mail has a + symbol in it so I keep all my spam under control (forums+vortex@...). Gmail even suggests using it so you can tell where stuff came from. It's also a valid part of any e-mail address....

So I couldn't even register to report this. I ended up using FireBug to edit the HTML on the registration page to add back in the + and continue on registering, which it let me without any problems.

So 2 bugs.
1) + is a valid e-mail address character
2) You really should revalidate everything before registering. The 'readonly' flag only works so well with people that have Firebug.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'll take a look into it, since i have a cobbled setup parsing data from the VWvortex forums into here. I'm probably sanitizing the email address (and converting the special chars) when it hits the real FV Forums registration page.

Ok, found the issue and published a new update for FireVortex (v1.7.4). This should be fixed for future users trying to register which may contain special valid chars in the email address.
